2016 NFL Football picks pool!

Hi Everyone,

HERE WE GO AGAIN!!!

This is the invite and welcome back (if returning) to the 2016 NFL football picks pool!!!

Please let me know if you are interested and want to participate or anyone else that wants to participate or if you are not returning.

Confirmation for participation is needed:

before the first game day on Thursday, September 8th (at 4:00pm EST)

The rules are the same:

Pick the winner of each game for the week. Also pick the score of the Monday Night game. This is not total points, but the score for both teams, for example 21 - 17. The person with the most correct picks of ALL games will be that week's winner and win the weekly pot (that includes the Monday Night Game - if you're one game back on Sunday, you could catch up if you picked the opposite team of the leader on Monday Night). In case of a tie, we will go to the score of the Monday Night Game as the tie breaker, which is lowest points different combined on both team's score. If you picked Green Bay 21 - NYG 17 and the final was NYG 20 - Green Bay 14, you are off by 3 on NYG and 7 on Green Bay for a total of 10. If you are in a tie for the best weekly record, and that's lowest point difference, you win. In case of a tie, the pot will be split evenly.

The cost is $34 for the season which equates to $2 a week.
Payment has to be in by the end of the third NFL week, or your picks will not count and no prize money awarded until entry fee is paid.

The weekly pot will be $34, and depending on how many are in will designate prize money for the top records for the entire season.
Totals will be kept for the whole year. The best record prizes will be for first place - $XX, second place - $XX, and third place - $XX.  (determined based on number of entries).

Picks –

All picks must be in by midnight on Saturday evening/Sunday Morning for all regular weeks.   NO EXCEPTIONS!!
This will give me time to generate the lists of everyone's picks, send them back, and send them via email/post them on the web site.
If you do not turn in picks, I treat that as you not picking anyone to win, which means a Tie, so any games that aren’t picked are entered as Ties. Not picking a score on Monday Night gives you a score of 0 – 0.
NOTE:  Picks are expected to be in ON TIME.  Consider that your warning.

You can email your picks to me at:

Or call me @  610-360-6459

There are Thursday games every week except the last week,  you only need to give me your Thursday pick(s) by the time I specify, usually by 4:00pm Thursday (or before the Thanksgiving games).
I will send an email with everyone's Thursday picks before the game starts, then the rest are due normal time.

Week 15 and 16 has additional Saturday games, I will send out notice for when those are due for those weeks.

Week 1 has two Monday night games. In that case, the LATE GAME (10:20pm EST) will be the tie-breaker  (Los Angeles at San Francisco).
Also, the last game of Week 17 will be the last SUNDAY AFTERNOON game (Seattle at San Francisco) for the tie breaker, there is no Monday Night game that week.

If you do not turn in picks, I treat that as you not picking anyone to win, which means a Tie, so any games that aren’t picked are entered as Ties. Not picking a score on Monday Night gives you a score of 0 – 0.

If any issues (problems/errors) arise, I will do my best to work around them. Requiring the picks early gives me time to do this. Please double check me, I could make a mistake. Just let me know if I've gotten something wrong, I will verify it with your initial email and fix it.

I will send an email out each week with the announcement of the previous week’s winner, yearly standings, Pick of the Week and the dreaded SEED of the Week.

Good Luck to everyone and have fun.
